Where does SecureCloud kAI process my data?
SecureCloud operates the platform on servers in Germany. The models process data in the EU. The open models run at European operators, one of them in Berlin according to the provider, and more models operated in Germany are in preparation. Claude and GPT run in EU regions of AWS and Microsoft Azure, GPT within the European Economic Area, and can be switched off per group. Web search terms go to the search provider Brave. Your IT can also switch off web search per group.
Can kAI see documents I am not allowed to open?
No. kAI checks every hit against the permissions of the person asking. A shared agent also works with the permissions of the person using it. Only knowledge files you attach directly to an agent are visible to everyone you share it with.
Does kAI send emails without my consent?
No. kAI shows you emails, meetings and messages first, with recipients and text. They are only sent after your click, in auto mode too. In auto mode kAI may store files privately in SecureCloud and create a share link, but never send anything.
Which AI models can I choose in kAI?
Models from Anthropic, OpenAI, Alibaba, Z.ai and DeepSeek. Each one shows who operates it and where it processes data. Your IT decides who may use which model. New model generations are available without a project.
What does our IT see in the audit log?
The audit log records events and approval decisions, without the content for approvals, and can be exported. We explain in a conversation what else your IT can see.
Do we need to install anything for kAI?
Not for your team. kAI runs in our cloud, in the browser and in Microsoft Teams and Slack. Your IT activates Microsoft 365 and Slack once centrally, and your Teams admin approves the Teams app once. Tasks keep running on our servers, even when your device is off.
Is there a data processing agreement for kAI?
The DPA template for kAI is in progress. It will also bindingly govern training and storage at the model providers. kAI does not yet have an attestation of its own; the seals on this page apply to SecureCloud GmbH.
