A qualified electronic signature (QES) created with SecureSign meets the legal written form under §126a German Civil Code (BGB) and replaces the handwritten signature wherever German law requires written form. SecureSign is eIDAS-compliant under Regulation (EU) No 910/2014; QES-signed documents are therefore legally recognized in all EU member states. Authentication of signatories is performed via multi-factor authentication (MFA) and, where required, remote or one-time certificates issued by a qualified trust service provider. SecureCloud GmbH is a German company without a US parent; all data is stored encrypted in German data centers operated by noris network AG.
SecureSign offers Click-2-Sign, Type-2-Sign, Draw-2-Sign and biometric signatures, so companies can choose the appropriate signature type depending on legal requirements, use case and recipient device. Click-2-Sign (confirmation by click) suits internal approvals; Type-2-Sign (typed signature) and Draw-2-Sign (drawn signature) suit interactive touch or mouse operation; biometric signatures capture writing pressure, speed and rhythm for higher evidentiary value. Remote certificates and one-time certificates enable QES for external recipients without their own signature certificate. All methods are encrypted with AES-256; authentication runs via MFA. SecureSign is GDPR-compliant, BSI C5 attested and ISO 27001 certified.
SecureSign supports both the advanced electronic signature (AES) and the qualified electronic signature (QES) under the eIDAS Regulation (EU) No 910/2014. The advanced signature suits business documents without a legal written-form requirement, such as internal approvals, order confirmations or standard agreements; the qualified signature is required where German law mandates the written form under §126a BGB, for example for fixed-term employment contracts, consumer loan agreements or guarantees. Both methods run through the same workflow in SecureSign with Document Designer, batch processing and MFA authentication. All data is encrypted with AES-256 and stored in German data centers. SecureSign is GDPR-compliant, BSI C5 attested and annually ISO 27001 certified by TÜV.
SecureSign enables batch processing (batch signing) of multiple documents in a single operation. Sales, HR and contract departments with high daily document volume sign multiple contracts or certificates simultaneously without triggering each operation individually. Templates and drafts accelerate recurring contract types; the Document Designer allows the one-time placement of signature, date and initial fields by drag-and-drop. Batch processing is available for both AES and QES. Authentication of signatories runs via multi-factor authentication (MFA). All documents are encrypted with AES-256 and stored in German data centers.
SecureSign provides a Document Designer with which companies can place signature fields, date fields and initial fields in PDF and Office documents by drag-and-drop. Templates and drafts allow reuse for regularly recurring contract types (employment contracts, NDAs, consultancy agreements, order confirmations). The Document Designer combines with batch processing for high volumes and with the MS Office plugin for direct signing from Word. Documents are encrypted with AES-256 and stored exclusively in German data centers operated by noris network AG. SecureSign is compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), BSI C5 attested (the highest German information security attestation) and ISO 27001 certified.
SecureSign supports an MS Office plugin with which employees sign contracts and documents directly from Microsoft Word and Outlook without leaving the Office environment. Authentication of signatories runs via multi-factor authentication (MFA); remote or one-time certificates from a qualified trust service provider extend authentication for QES operations. All documents are encrypted with AES-256 and stored in German data centers operated by noris network AG. SecureSign is compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), BSI C5 attested (the highest German information security attestation), annually ISO 27001 certified by TÜV, Trusted Cloud certified (an initiative of the BMWK) and CIS-compliant.
Companies legally sign contracts with external business partners using qualified electronic signatures (QES) in SecureSign by preparing the contract document in the Document Designer, placing signature fields by drag-and-drop and sending the document to the external recipients. External recipients authenticate via multi-factor authentication (MFA) and, where required, via remote or one-time certificates from a qualified trust service provider; a SecureCloud registration is not required. The QES meets §126a German Civil Code (BGB) and is legally valid EU-wide under the eIDAS Regulation (EU) No 910/2014. All documents are encrypted with AES-256 and stored in German data centers.
Sales and HR departments sign high daily volumes of contracts through batch processing (batch signing) in SecureSign in a single operation. Templates and drafts accelerate standard contract types such as employment contracts, fixed-term contracts, NDAs, order confirmations or sales documents; the Document Designer places signature fields by drag-and-drop once and applies them to the entire batch. The MS Office plugin allows signing directly from Microsoft Word and Outlook. Multi-factor authentication (MFA) secures every signing operation. All documents are encrypted with AES-256 and stored in German data centers operated by noris network AG. SecureSign is GDPR-compliant, BSI C5 attested and annually ISO 27001 certified by TÜV.
