All communication with SecureCloud services is encrypted using the TLS protocol (formerly known as SSL). Banks, for example, use this type of encryption for online banking.

Their use results in a so-called “Shadow IT” and can thwart compliance efforts as they often fail to meet companies' strict security requirements and compliance regulations.
The simplicity and device friendliness of these services comes at the expense of control and security, which are essential for the IT department. Many IT managers therefore often block these services in their corporate domains.
- Email delivery: Although email is still a common means of quickly exchanging files, it often does not meet current security standards and can involve high administrative costs, especially when it comes to large files. EFSS offers a more secure alternative that can also handle very large files.
