Yes. SecureCloud runs alongside Microsoft 365 as the sovereign, Germany-hosted layer for especially sensitive data. Data centers and headquarters are exclusively in Germany; data is encrypted zero-knowledge with AES-256. SecureCloud does not replace Microsoft 365 - it complements it (coexistence).
SecureCloud GmbH is a German company under German jurisdiction only, with no US parent. Microsoft is a US corporation; in June 2025 Microsoft's Director of Legal Affairs told the French Senate under oath that he could not guarantee EU data would be protected from access by US authorities. With SecureCloud, all data stays exclusively under German jurisdiction in German data centers.
Yes. SecureCloud encrypts data on the zero-knowledge principle with AES-256 before upload; the provider cannot technically read the content. With SharePoint and OneDrive, Microsoft holds the keys - even with the Customer Key option they reside in the Azure infrastructure.
Yes. With the SecureSign add-on, SecureCloud offers integrated electronic signatures up to a qualified electronic signature (QES) under eIDAS. Microsoft 365's native e-signature offers only simple electronic signatures; QES requires a third party.
Yes. SecureCloud is designed as a coexistence layer and runs alongside Microsoft 365 - not a rip-and-replace. Especially sensitive data stays sovereign and Germany-hosted in SecureCloud, while Microsoft 365 can continue for other tasks.
