Tresorit stores data on Microsoft Azure - the infrastructure of a US company - even when the Germany region is selected. Both solutions use zero-knowledge encryption, so the infrastructure operator cannot read the content; the difference lies in who operates the infrastructure.
Yes. SecureCloud is BSI C5 attested (the highest BSI attestation for the information security of cloud services) and ISO 27001 certified annually by TÜV. Tresorit states no BSI C5 attestation. Both providers are ISO 27001 certified.
Yes. With SecureCloud, data storage is in Germany by default - on all plans and from just 2 users. At Tresorit, choosing the data region (including Germany) is reserved for the Business and Enterprise plans; the default location is Ireland.
Yes. With SecureWork, SecureCloud offers integrated, encrypted real-time co-editing of Word, Excel and PowerPoint files directly in the browser. Tresorit offers no full real-time online Office co-editing; its Office integration is sync-based.
